Announcers

Lets not get too adulatory. At the end of the 3rd quarter they were prattling one about some oft repeated UConn lore when a Husky scored. I thought it was Kayleigh, but I'll never know, because those two simply prattled on. You wouldn't know we'd scored.
If you want to know you can look at the Pllay by Play for the game on the ESPN app for the game. You can filter it by 3rd quarter scoring plays. And you are correct, Kayleigh made UConn's last bucket of the 3rd quarter.
This is why I monitor the Live Stats on my phone while watching the game on my tv - to see what happens a few seconds before it is on my tv, especially scoring and fouls.

There is one announcer, a guy, who we've listened to a couple of times, for one of the Big East teams. Can't begin to remember which team, who he was, but definitely a throwback, actually calling the play-by-play. Maybe someone knows who I'm talking about. Maybe one of the mid-west teams. Deep voice, really knows the game.

Since I've been one to complain about announcers in the past, I wanted to compliment last night's TNT team of JB Long and Aja Ellison during the St. John's game. Were they perfect? No. But Long offered some actual play-by-play, and Ellison gave real basketball commentary and insights about each team. Both seemed well-informed about both the players in this game and the women's basketball landscape in general. And there were actually times when neither was talking, and all you could hear was the squeaking of the players' sneakers. I found their broadcast a refreshing listen.

I agree. Not 100% play by play, but a lot better than most we've been forced to endure this year. Ellison was not bad, either. Not the best, but more than ok, IMHO.
