I don't mind them at all -- they may be homers, but they're critiquing the game -- loved the analysis of the hand, back spin.

These are among the worst announcers I have ever listened to. The way they see it, Marquette has never committed a foul and UCONN is just lucky to be getting all of those calls. They should stop rooting and try watching the game.

They do not demonstrate a knowledge of the rules of officiating.

They sound like they do this as a hobby. Not good and totally homers.

No, they're the worst kind of homers. UConn travels and fouls while MUis the victim limping along with only 7 players.

These guys are horrible.... Travel, Travel, it must be a travel. Hey it is a travel. Seriously woman it is not a travel. Look at the flop, look another flop, hey a flop.... Sweety... when the other player knocks you down using force it is not a flop.... it is force and motion.

And who are they to question Geno. Get 797 wins and then you can question Geno and his coaching.

And did all the calls really go UCONN's way after the technical? All of them? Really?

These two were horrible. At times I had to mute the game so I would not have to listen to them.

I happen to like Picozzi and Culmo. OK, call me nuts if you wish, but I like them. And Kara on radio and Lawson on TV halftime are as good as it gets.

As for today's announcers, of course they are homers. I am not uncomfortable with that, because I spent many years listening to Johnny Most, who unquestionably set the homerism bar impossibly high.

The homerism didn't bother me at all - except they were wrong so many times . I spent most of the game trying to decide who was dumb and who was dumberer.
I finally opted for the guy was dumb and the woman was really dumber er er .

I just checked the Courant online and the announcers were listed as: "Steve "Homer" True and Michele Griffin-Wenzel' I guess that says it all.

If your outside and listen to Picozzi and Culmo, you would be complaining also..at lest they talk about the game and showed replays...

They are bad but they are making me laugh. Clueless

Among the worst. They were right about one travel that Tiffany got away with, but were wrong on many others. I also thought it was outrageous that they maintained that foul calls against Marquette by the referee who called the T on Geno was his way of making up for his technical.

I have gotten used to never listening to the "commentary" unless its Kara or Becca. I think I'm learning a lot more by watching silently and figuring the plays. I also love to pick one player and just watch what she does for a period of time. As Yogi said: you can see a lot just by watching.

Added, if one of the announcers were also to yell " Ho Ho Ho ", I would have shut the game off.

You know I do, but what you don't know is what it was like growing up in Pitsburgh, listening to the ultimate "character," Rosy Rosewell, do Pittsburgh Pirates games. Then he was succeeded by Bob Prince, yet another one-of-a-kind. More recently, Steelers (oops, I meant Stillers) fans were transfixed by Myron Cope, the creator/discoveror/inventor of the "terrible towel"). After that lineup, the pair today were comparable to Vin Scully, Red Barber, or Mel Allen.

So either my expectations are low or my tolerance is high. Or both.
