"The UConn freshman from Poland had initially made arrangements to stay on campus in Storrs due to the coronavirus outbreak. But Anna, alongside her sister Ola, boarded a Poland-bound flight on Wednesday from Chicago and will soon be reunited with their family.

The Makurats initially were fearful about having Anna and Ola fly, wanting to minimize their chances of contracting the virus. Both will have to quarantine for 14 days upon their arrival to Poland, but Anna could face difficulties getting back to the States later in the summer. The U.S. has banned the entry of foreign nationals who have been in certain European countries, including Poland, over the previous 14 days, and it is unclear how long that prohibition will last. Safe travels Anna.
Who knows what normal will look like for the world in a post Corona virus.
UCONN WBB is going to have to overcome some obstacles though.
As the current roster stands 6 (Evina + 5 Freshman) of 10 players would be new to the team. Of the 10 players 3 are foreign players whose return date is uncertain. In a normal world the team would account for new players by having them attend one or both summer sessions to get acclimated to new teammates. Evaluation of players in the transfer portal is not possible until 18th of April and just about all the major AAU evaluations events have been cancelled or postponed.
Wherever and whenever the UCONN WBB team next suits up, I will be there in person. The team, the country and this entire planet will have overcome a lot to get there. For me that game will be a small sign that things are close to being "normal" again.

The experts are forecasting a lull during the summer, then another flare-up in the fall.

The season might not happen. The university year might not happen.
The season probably will happen, but I could see a situation where depending on the state, some schools may simply not be able to participate depending on how long this goes on. For example, Connecticut has everyone staying home if they aren't essential workers, so there won't be sports at any level for a while, perhaps a long while. Hopefully we can have a season even if the home games are played in front of empty seats.

The CDC hopes to have a vaccine by the end of the summer. They also have trials going on with an approved vaccine for either SAARS or another virus that is being tested on certain people that qualify for the program tests.

Wonder if the NCAA would consider letting recruits reopen recruitment if the school they've committed to is in a hot zone or at risk of not having a season.
