Andre Drummond talks about being a "walk on" and his path to the NBA. A lot of great insight here.

He's become quite the journeyman since leaving Detroit. This will be his fifth team since 2020.
That type of player just isn't valued in the NBA right now. He was lucky to cash in the big contract when he did. If he came along 2-3 years later, this kind of journeyman contract is what he'd have gotten his whole career.

The 76ers missed him the day they included him in the Betty Simmons trade. He still grabs a ton of boards and is a great 2d teamer
we miss him everyday. and the argument over deandre is ova!!

Don’t watch NBA so can someone explain why Andre only gets a 6 M contract while
Mitchell Robinson gets a 60M contract?

Mitchell consistently plays hard. Andre still has the same problems he had at UConn.

You saw Kofi Cockburn go undrafted. That tells you what the NBA thinks of large men who aren't very mobile and can't shoot.

He needs to learn that the salad bar can be his friend.
Not if he stuffs himself with the potato salad, cheese filled pastas, and lots of tasty croutons for the salad and then drenches them with olive oil.

Those above items are on salad bars too.

But, if he has saved a decent amount of his past earnings, and lives reasonably on his salary from the new contract, he still can hire a dietician to plan his meals. Actually, many health insurance policies cover this service.

But yes, a salad bar can be a best friend under most circumstances.
