And They're Off... To Spokane

When I see things like this I always remember a DT sit down at ESPN when she admitted it was hard to pay for anything in Connecticut and pretty incredulously said "They treat us like rock stars." Then I think Tennessee fans are going to be sick over this. :)

We will be there too. I am extra excited for a few personal reasons. 1) it's going to be our daughter's first UConn game, 2) the Huskies are here in the NW, where we live, 3) my wife is a Sooner.

Does it get any better than that???

Well I can think of a few things that would make the weekend even better ….

Hopefully not for your wife, sorry.

Lighter UConn turnout than I am used to seeing when traveling for games. Additionally 33-40 percent of the "UConn turnout" seemed to be shrieking Paige fans that couldn't name a third player on the team. (Other than Paige and "Ozzy."). Couldn't even get a U C O N N going after an OU timeout. Too bad, there was some great UConn basketball on display. But also I get it - Spokane is not a hub, and too small a city to swallow eight fan bases. Hotel prices were bonkers as a result.
