Correct, you really have to be top 20 in both. Baylor 2021 defensively was slightly outside of that and our offense in 2014 was way outside. Other than that every team has been top 20 in both.

i wonder what the combined number is on average (barring outliers). As we are 4+18=22. 4 teams are lower than that. Purdue slightly higher. 4 others a bit higher. Those last 4 seem a bit of a distance from the top 6.

I wouldn't want to see Auburn as the 4/5 seed in the East. Far less worrisome opponents out there at that ranking range.
