Found it in a place I can't name.
Yep I know that place---. I couldn't understand why there were no horses or corals on that Ranch? Also the cherry colored light
were hard on my eyes. The wife made me give it up--years ago. When did the get computers there???

As ... Paula Poundstone (I think) said a few years ago... "Folks are calling it the Year of Women. What, we only get one year?"

I like this sentence:
"2015 shouldn’t be The Year of Women’s Sports. The Year of Breanna Stewart should be every year. It’s time for the new normal. Just give people a chance to watch Stewart, and so many other women, all the time."

That would be the penultimate sentence to be sure!

PS. Kib, should you turn this into a vocabulary, syntax or whatever lesson, I will seek you out and kill you!

I did not watch UConn WBB back in the DT days (although I have watched some of the game replay from back then), and I watched the game Maya played, but I think Stewie is a better all around player than both. She definitely makes the game look very easy even w/o the pure athleticism of MM and whatever DT has. I can't imagine what the last 3+ years of UConn WBB would have been like if Stewie had gone to Syracuse instead :)

For me it was: Mary, Mary long before the fashions came. there is something there, that sounds so square--it's a grand ole name.
You are a generation ahead of me. My reference is to a song from the 60s by a pop group called the Association. I suspect Rocky had it in mind, at least subconsciously, as well.

Comparisons are tough. They are 3 different types of players. One thing I know for certain - game on the line in a high pressure situation, I want Taurasi with the ball.

Way back in the most distant past---there was a kid named Diana (DT for short) --tough as nails. Punched the hoop uprights in Tenn--shouted loudly she hated ORANGE. When she was in the game--most of us Uconn believers knew Uconn could not lose that game.
In game after game, with little in the way of supporting cast (in her latter career) she put the team on her back--almost physically---and made impossible shot after impossible shot. Being bounced in almost every game for 3 years with a bad back--she was a ping pong ball--every pass through say the Tenn team she gets a hip from one, a shoulder from another, a trip from another--. She made impossible passed backwards over her head to an open player. She was amazing. The instant pass , after getting a pass, to another player was patented by DT--you have to pay a royalty to use it Yet there are things Stew ie does that DT couldn't do
However ---I speak as a heretic , DT's alone carrying the team --we have not seen Stewie need to do that. Maya was forced to carry non scoring teammates into the final four--and failed. If she had just one to take the defense off of her--another victory.
Stewie is all everyone says and more. If she is ever asked to carry the entire load of winning against a top 3 team---she may properly be declared the absolute best ever at Uconn.. DT could have used Moriah and or Tuck.
Without Stewie it is extremely doubtful there would be 2 or 3 of the current National championships---but Geno being Geno that is not a guarantee.
And I wasn't a DT fan!!! Because I could read lips. I believe in doing not speaking of some things

Actually the song I referred to was of the early 1900's George M Cohen--not many around (have to be 140) that viewed that "hit" on broadway--. I am a fan of lyricists of any generation that used words properly (not grammatically) . The unsung (pun) hero's of the pop music business. I wanted to conduct a college class in Arkansas (when I was there) reviewing lyrics, how they were put together, their multiple (sometimes) means--how different generations interpret those words ---long winded to say I like lyrics.

I did, and every time I see some old highlights it reinforces my belief DT is (still) the GOAT

I'm not sure what you mean?? To me being the goat means she was being held responsible for something that happened beyond her control? Are you speaking of the UConn / ND semi final Uconn lost when DT was a Freshman?? At that time--if that is of which you write--I'd agree. I thought before that game that DT and Uconn should have been semi sequestered so DT didn't hear all the hype --and try to live up to it ... If that wasn't it. What is your meaning??
