For a while, it seemed like Wake would keep the final margin of victory at least not totally humiliating albeit not respectable. And then a funny thing happened in the final eight minutes of the game: UConn went on a 21-4 run. Let's rivisit:

7:21- Wake makes a three-point shot to make it 74-30
7:12- KML beats everyone down the court, takes and makes a wide-open transition three. 77-30
6:51- Wake gets to the stripe, hits one of two FTs. 77-31
6:32- Kelly hits a jumper from the FT line. 79-31
5:36- After forcing a shot clock violation, UConn gets a bucket on the other end from Kiah after fumbling but ultimately corralling a pretty pass from Brianna. 81-31
5:24- Banks forces a tie-up. Possession arrow UConn.
5:14- Banks drives into the lane and passes off to Morgan, who duly makes the layup. 83-31
4:51- After Wake forces a long three that doesn't go in, KML saves the ball from going out of bounds, which starts a break that culimnates in another easy Morgan Tuck layup. 85-31.
4:26- Wake finally scores again on a nice cut to the basket. 85-33
4:13- Buck gets fouled, hits one of two from the line. 86-33
4:05- After Buck misses the second FT, KML taps the ball back to a teammate to secure another possession. She is rewarded with an open three, which she drills. 89-33.
3:40- Wake gets to the stripe but goes 0-2
3:16- Banks misses a three-pointer. This is the first offensive possession in four minutes that hasn't resulted in points for UConn. Still 89-33.
3:08- Buck blocks a shot, and UConn is off to the races
2:58- Tuck is fouled, goes 1-2, Stokes rebounds the missed FT. 90-33
2:30- UConn fails to convert on the bonus offensive possession and commits a loose ball foul. Wake goes 1-2 from the line. 90-34.
2:17- Turnover UConn
2:08- Turnover Wake
1:53- After another UConn turnover, Wake fails to convert on the break, leading to...
1:48- ...a break for UConn, culminating in Banks getting fouled and going to the line. Banks goes 1-2. 91-34. UConn gets ANOTHER bonus possession off of a missed FT.
1:40- Banks goes back to the line. 2-2, 93-34
1:19- after Mo steals and saves the ball, Tuck beats everyone down the court on a fast break for an easy layup. 95-34
I will spare everyone a recap of the final 79 seconds. Kiah got a couple of blocks, Banks made her sole bad decision of the game, and no one scored.

In this game, UConn had a mindset of finishing the game strong and playing every possession like the game was close, irrespective of who was on the floor or what the actual margin was. UConn stayed aggressive on every loose ball, every Wake opportunity, every transition opportunity the other way, etc. If the team can stay this locked in, watch out.

The save by KML was very nice, she was falling out of bounds, but tapped it back into play.
