Since the UConn game, Xavier has gone 3–5 in Big East play, showing a mix of competitiveness and inconsistency. The Musketeers earned notable home wins over Providence, Villanova, and Marquette, while also pulling out a dramatic road comeback victory in their last matchup vs DePaul when they erased a 18-point deficit, so they're entering this game with some mojo.

Three of their losses came by narrow margins, including one-point defeats at Marquette and Creighton, highlighting how small execution lapses have swung close games against them.

Overall, Xavier has looked like a middle-tier Big East team with upside, especially at home, where their offense has been more fluid and confident. On the road, late-game execution and shooting consistency have been the biggest challenges, especially from their backcourt.

Tre Carroll has become one of my favorite players in the Big East while I'd take Filip Borovicanin on my team any day. He's a warrior.

The Xavier comeback against DePaul was at home actually.

DePaul doesn't lose at home anymore (except to us).
