I was looking at the Big East media guide and saw a reference to an old streak held by UConn:
BE Consecutive regular season wins
47, UConn (Jan. 4, 1996 - Feb. 7, 1998)
That surprised me because I thought our active win streak was longer. I did a bit of research and believe the current win streak for regular-season games is at 58. Perhaps the Big East media guide will be updated when they incorporate current season results.
I did a brief Internet search and did not find any recognition of this accomplishment, so I am posting here in case someone has seen it or in case I've missed something. I did find one reference to consecutive Big East wins but it included both regular-season and postseason so I'll note that this active record relates to regular-season games only.
My documentation can be found here
