Classic Calhoun.calhoun had the quote of the week as well when he responded to a reporter's question by saying "I'm guessing you're going to be asking me more fcking stupid questions in this game?"
Stop every hour to walk around? Why not fly him to NY either in helicopter or a private jet. Got to love his strength!
Helicopter would be better. You can land on the west side of Manhattan. Nearest airport for private jets is Teterboro Airport in NJ. And getting into Manhattan from there is a pain. I've done both. Take the helicopter.Stop every hour to walk around? Why not fly him to NY either in helicopter or a private jet. Got to love his strength!
There was a little more to that quote. Went like this.calhoun had the quote of the week as well when he responded to a reporter's question by saying "I'm guessing you're going to be asking me more fcking stupid questions in this game?"
He's always has the right thing to say and that's why we love him. Hope he is ready to coach 5 games in a row.
This ran through my head too. Only because they are going to be living out of a hotel the whole week which means a lot of coming and going. Hopefully he can get the right amount of rest btw games without aggravating his back again. This obviously all depends on how deep they go in the tournament. My biggest fear is him not being able to make it back to back games in New York and Blaney coaching again.
I'm sure we could get a police escort for him the entire way.[/quote
He's not allowed to sit still for more than 30 or 40 minutes at a time. It's not good for his recovery as the muscles tighten up/
classic. There was a little more to that quote. Went like this.
Jim Calhoun was sitting on the UConn bench, watching the very early warmups at Gampel Pavilion.
"And somebody, can't remember who, came up and said, 'I'm guessing you will be sitting more during this game?'" guard Shabazz Napier said. "And coach said, 'I'm guessing you're going to be asking me more [bleeping] stupid questions in this game?'"
