Everything changes game-by-game, but if Memphis' D can shut down Houston this much, our D can certainly hold their own against them too.

And a cold rainstorm would help. Sleet & snow would be even better.

Does anyone remember a Big East game being as big as this? I don't, but my memory isn't what it used to be.

A sold out stadium in Houston. It looks good for the AAC.

A sold out stadium in Houston probably looks good to the Big 12.

And we got a ballgame, gents. This is going to be a fun second half I think.

These teams score truckloads of points. Guess neither is ever out of any game.

That atmosphere is fun. This is why people like watching sports on TV - exciting game in an exciting atmosphere. Houston had struggled with attendance a bit this year but it looks like their fanbase really Cougared Up for tonight.

Just have our schedule saved, so pulled these games...

2007:
#6 West Virginia @ #23 Cincinnati, WVU wins and remains in first place in late November

2008:
#2o Pittsburgh @ #19 Cincinnati, Thanksgiving weekend for the Big East title

2009:
#8 Cincinnati @ #21 South Florida on a Thursday night
#25 West Virginia @ #5 Cincinnati in November on a Friday night
#5 Cincinnati @ #15 Pittsburgh, last game of the season for the BE title and BCS bid

Thanks. Good memories of a good conference.

But the AAC is off to a pretty good start.

Houston has survived two horrible calls and I think they've lost their QB.

That is the 5th false start this crowd has caused. Incredible job.

Backup QB has definitely sparked this team. By the sounds of Herman's halftime interview, the ankle is pretty seriously injured. Doubtful he plays next weekend.

Memphis was all about preparing for Ward and now they have to figure out a plan against Postma.

I think I would have preferred Houston to win and to overlook us. We would be a classic "trap game".

I guess we'll have to settle for the "emotional letdown game" after losing the biggest game they've played in a while.

Not so fast my friend!

I have no idea what targeting actually is.

Edit: ok. They reversed it. Good overrule.

Not to bash the kid, but I actually want to see Pastma, a walk-on (He had no stars on recruiting sites), against a much more stout defense like ours. I said just before the game began that Memphis' Defense has been horrendous this year, and that drive showed it.

Would be great to have some electric crowd noise for Houston. A walk on backup QB and an OL with 3 FR.

A heartbreaking last second loss by Houston here might actually help us out in the 1st half next week.
