I take it you mean July 29, since our first game ings August 29, no?
@mattsarz Nearly everyone has their media days between July 21-26 with the American on the 29th-30th for their clambake.
Embarrassing, go hold it in Tulsa. That's the stuff you need to market. They don't even have a team in RI
Probably that stupid fool Mauel's idea.
They don't have a team in Tulsa either...
Newport in the Summer versus Tulsa Oklahoma in July?
FWIW - Reporter's clammer to get to Newport for the BE/AAC Clambake. It's legendary.

You guys know I'm not the most vociferous critic about branding stuff in general, but hosting your media extravaganza in a state where the league doesn't even have a school is a head-scratcher. I know, I know, it's cause they haven't moved the AAC offices out of Providence... but the clambake isn't even in Providence, it's in Newport. #sigh
regardless of what this league is called, it's roots are the Big East. You guys know I'm not the most vociferous critic about branding stuff in general, but hosting your media extravaganza in a state where the league doesn't even have a school is a head-scratcher. As long as one founding member is still in this conference, I don't see anything wrong with maintaining it's ties to Providence.
I still don't get why we're having our offices in Providence. Is it because we're too poor of a conference after our "mega TV deal" didn't pan out? Anyone know if they plan on staying in Providence long term? It just makes no sense, especially when the majority of member schools are in the South....
Midtown Oyster Bar, if you want to check out the new place...
