So if you look at who was chosen as preseason 1st and 2nd teams in the American, it looks like UCONN, USF, Houston, SMU and Temple all have the most amount of players represented. I wonder if that will translate to wins this season for those teams. Would really like to see the American start to get better as a conference.

I'm hopeful that Temple has their injury issues behind them as they were dreadful last season - 12-19 overall, 3-13 in the conference. UCF was good last season - I wonder if that will continue, and I think Cinci had their best year in recent history (19-13 and 10-6 in the conference) - certainly respectable...

I'm still bummed that Jamelle got canned after leading the Bearcats to their
best record in years. They'll probably be just as good this year, and
Jamelle won't get the credit.
