Great name, it's actually better than The Big East. Smart to pick a name that can expand in every direction.

I guess it's true that all people do in the Northeast is bitch and moan no matter what the circumstances.
I wonder how many years it will take to finally accept that what will be, will be.
While it will be great if we get the CR call in the next 12-24 months there's a chance we won't. How depressing it will be then to read and hear people moan and groan how bad things are.
People might want to start worrying about the possibility of losing to Memphis, SMU, Houston, ECU or Tulane. Now that would be depressing.
Fill the stadium, win and play exciting football. If that takes place the rest will take care of itself.

That was my only complaint, especially considering the transient nature of what this conference will likely (hopefully) continue to be. Otherwise American 12 is fine. It's patriotic and it's nonspecific which gives you flexibility in adding schools without sounding like a dip, what more could you ask for?

One thing I don't like about it...the abbreviated name will be the A-12, not cool with that. Just call it the AAC and be done with it. All American Conference. That way you can expand and contract and you don't have to worry about changing the name. Besides...AAC would come before ACC in any list of conferences.

I agree with u bro. but what direction do we with that name ?(which actually isn't that bad, it just sounds so lame because of the history of the Big East, which was a really good one... Hard to believe I'm saying "was" with the Big East...smh)

America 12 abbreviated(A-12) sounds too much like the A-10 and I would rather be confused with the ACC than the A-10 so I'm sticking with AAC as my first choice. Is there even a place where we can send a note to voice our opinion yet?

I am just glad I am not Tranghese ... Marinatto ... Aresco. Thankless duck__ing Job. I have often wondered what should have been done differently. That question takes you back before my neighborhood (*now 100 houses) was entitled for infrastructure contruction.

I hope the primary color of the logo is red. We deserve to wear a Scarlet Letter.
Bagdad Bob couldn't envision a more absurd storyline: The league didn't fire UConn, the Catholic 7 quit...(and took the conference name with them.)
No matter how you spin things, at best, UConn got laid off...hopefully the severance package is spent wisely. Who knows, if we're lucky, maybe now Tampax will sponsor our runway?

Get over it the AAC is already taken by the Alcoholics Anonymous Conference held annually. Marketing will take care of this.
This is yellow page logic where pest control and septic company's place one two or three A's before their name to get mentioned first. Should the SEC change their name to keep up?
Then be called the Eastern Conference South to move up in the alphabet chain? That and put an A before it. What our conference is to be called is meaningless.
