Ament to Tenn

Acaden Lewis decommitted from Kentucky last week. At one point he was a 5 star. Best ball handler in the class. We could use a ball handler.

Throwing that kinda money at a 3rd string PG is a bad investment plus He decommited from UK after they signed Pitt’s starting PG from last year so highly doubt he’s interested in competing against Silas and Smith for PT. Not sure who’s a realistic target for the 3rd string PG role but def someone cheaper than Lewis

Admitted to be one and done so break out the way too soon for NBA Draft 2026 featuring Dybantsa, Ament, Boozer(s), etc.

Perfect depiction of the end state of evolution from student-athlete to self-indulgent, money-driven hucksterism.

Oh I agree we probably won’t spend the money. Just trying to poke holes in this roster, be objective, Malachi Smith has no eligibility left and is injury prone, I think last year was his first full year healthy. Without him the press break situation on this team could be a problem.

Wouldn't DeMary be good at breaking the press?

If I'm picking homes at the roster, yeah Silas being a steady facilitator is one of those concerns. He seems like more of a scorer right now but he’ll have a lot of mouths to feed in this offense. Wonder how that adjustment will be for him to go from lead scorer to a guy responsible mainly for feeding Ball, Stew, and Reed (unless the coaches expect differently?)

Also depth at the 4/5 is a concern. I don't want Ross or Reibe playing backup 4. One guy is too small, the other is too big. Would also love an extra backup center.

A Shonn Miller would be absolutely perfect for a roster like this.

Don't sleep on "the Furph". He's not being brought in from Tasmania for nothing and looks like he has the moxie to be a lead guard in the mode of KEA............but larger.

or perhaps he was someone smart enough to wait
To see that Tennessee really needed his services
That is playing time would be guaranteed, and that there will be plenty of dollars as well
so in your world, anyone who holds out to get the highest amount of money in a job offer with the best working conditions, would then be self indulgent and money driven
seems to me that would describe most people
