I recently read that Khalid El Amin shot 93.4 % from the line in 1999-2000 during Big East Play. Thats making 15 of every 16 free throws. Very noteworthy.

What are some other outstanding stats from UConn players? A few that come to mind are Donyell Marshall going 20 for 20 from the free throw line in a game and Kirk King once making 22 straight field goal attempts over the course of several games.

And yes, we all know that Denham Brown once scored 111 points in a game prior to arriving at UConn.

Keep em coming...

I believe it was Antric Klaiber who started his career like 0-20 or something like that. It was a bunch of garbage time minutes with an 0-1 or 0-2 but they started to add up to something horrific.

Best stat of all for me is 4-0 in championship games. An overall 8-1 FF record is pretty sweet too.

UConn shot 101-115 (87.8 percent) on free throws for the tournament during the 2014 title run, the best free throw percentage by a team in a single NCAA tournament (minimum three games).

From 1999 - 2011, Tony Robertson was the only 4 year UConn player not to win a national title. I seem to remember that as being fact.

Interesting one for sure.

UConn led the nation in blocks per game from the 2001-02 through 2009-10 seasons.
This is definitely my favorite UConn fact. It's absolutely unbelievable when you think about it. Will never happen again that many years in a row.

There are a few others I can think of - Dyson, Edwards, Robinson, Adrien, Austrie. Still a pretty short list. And if you’re going through 2011, the time period can be extended to 2014 also. Just a small donut hole in the middle.

I did always feel bad for Tony — such an important player whose career was directly sandwiched by two titles.

Since 1990, Uconn is 52-17 in the NCAA tourney. I could be off by 1 or 2 but four titles in that timeframe takes up a lot of space in my mind.

Is it true that Denham Brown once scored 100 points in a high school basketball game ?
