Versus BC - recall, this is the worst team in the ACC and one that only has 7, count em 7, wins on the year.

Syracuse:
Bench Points - Zero
Bench Rebounds - Zero
Bench Minutes - 17
1st guy off bench 15 minutes.
2nd guy - 2 minutes.

Fewest minutes by a starter - 39.

17 minutes from your bench? And zero points and zero boards against the worst opponent in your league?

Show me the last team to have those kind of numbers that went deep in March.

Syracuse is going to be sounding the alarm bells shortly, and the blush will be off - seems incredibly unlikely that they will win a NC this year when they are essentially playing 6 deep team with zero at the 7th spot. They have won a handful by a bucket (I know that's pot calling kettle black), and they probably should be ranked closer to 10 than to 1.

Boo Hoo!!

To be fair Keita is usually their first player off the bench and he's out injured. I think he's supposed to be back. Their third bench player is out for the season though.

They are in trouble if Keita is out for any length of time and/or season. They weren't great when healthy and look kind of bad right now.

!!
While BC is truly awful under Donahue and will have a new Coach soon, factually, Virginia Tech is currently the worst team in the ACC, below BC in the ACC standings and having lost to BC earlier in the season. Just sayin'.

Kentucky really only played with 7 guys when they won it all in 2012. Then again, their starting 5 that year is way better than Cuse's this year.

It's funny you can see Christmas is nose picker's whipping boy. Every time there's an interior basket he puts his hands out and looks at him with that whiny look on hi puss…….the last basket by BC in OT Christmas went to guard the high post and the BC guy turned and threw a nice bound pass to the kid for a reverse lay up - it was obvious Grant got caught up too high in the zone and with his pants down yet when JB called a TO he looked at rakeem again with that wtf look…….wasn't his fault JB…..poor kid probably gets hammered for the 9 three's they made in the 2nd half too!

I'm reading vulnerable to last season fatigue, foul problems and overtime games.

JB is the equivalent of Lucy pulling away the ball as Charlie Brown is about to kick it. His team and their fans are Charlie Brown, they'll end up on their backs soon enough.

We crushed BCU by one point. Just a little context for the board.

Here some more context: we didn't play them at home, we weren't ranked number 1 in the country, and we weren't undefeated 3 and half months into the season with overall 1 seed in the tourni in our sites..
For further context, you are a self-hating fan, and a boob.
What did your mother do to you?

I think the time of the year matters. I think our team has gelled a bit more than it did in the beginning of the year...mostly because our bigs have improved. I say, give us Indiana, Stanford, BC, Maryland, and we win those all by more than one possession now. No way to prove that, to be sure, but I think our weakness in the beginning of the year was bigs (offense and defense), and we've seen marked improvement, at least on the defensive end.

Agree. We've also seen marked improvement in giving consistent effort against inferior teams even after we build a double digit lead. We've learned to go for the jugular in a way we did not against Maryland and BC.

You are right, so putting it into context, since we beat them by one on a neutral court and they beat the #1 team in overtime at the #1 teams home court, I guess you're saying we are only slightly better then #1. I can live with that.

Good OP, then as usual, somewhere Strummer goes way over the top. Palatine's point was valid.
