Amazing interview with Solo ball

Great interview.
Solo is a perfect example of Hurley bringing in not only a talented player but a player that fits the team’s culture. He often mentioned his parents along with the values and beliefs they instilled in him to work hard towards his goals and that he has to earn everything that is given to him.
Expecting to see again, another upward trend of his performance and hopefully he reaches his goal of being an All-American.

Solo has his head on straight. Mature young man. Looking forward to his growth as a two-way player and as a leader on and off the court. I appreciate his commitment to the Program and the Process.

If he adds a halfway decent left-hand drive he might average 20 a game.

If he does that and defends at a UConn level, he's an All-American.

Hard to bet against the kid knowing the work he puts in.
2000% agree.
Jump on the D side and an improved drive to the basket would be huge. He has the will and work ethics to do it.

Young man certainly seems to have his head screwed on right and his priorities in order,
Reminds me of CV in that respect and that is a great role model.

And likely has a chip on his shoulder after his post season games last season. I'm sure he wants to step up again even if slightly less of a leap from Frosh to Soph - we should get a more mature Solo as a Junior - let's go 16ppg!

Look up my posts from last Summer. I was president of Solo's fan club. This is the year he becomes a superstar. Oh but his defense? The kid has the athleticism to do it. He now has found the dog in him. The kid plays hard and this year, he will show up defensively. Oh but his dribble? He looked day-night better than his freshmen year. Not difficult to project additional improvement. And remember, 44% 3 point shooters, on high volume, do not grow on trees. And this year he will have more space in which to operate because the shooting around him will be nasty. Alex on one end of the floor, with Mullins on the other, with Solo on top of the key??? My gosh that is tasty. I really don't know how you defend us next year, considering that Big Bear is inside, and Demary, Jr. himself averaged 37% from 3. Even Stewart and Ross will have plenty of open looks this year. But Solo will benefit most from the open space this team will afford him.

Great interview! That interview was a deep dive into Solo's youth to his current playing day including family. I was impressed and I'm sure his parents are proud. He has his family a support system and his faith. Well spoken and overall great kid!

His defense wasn’t good at all early on. But he proved he cared as it improved a lot years end. Another jump there the sky is the limit. Let’s be honest here, love what Diarra did and who he was but with Silas and Malachi next to him and Mullins as well, he’ll have more space than last year!

His defensive game evolved during the tourney and he’s very focused on that now and his offense is already great. This team will go as far as its defense takes it and Hurley will be all over every player’s defense.

You can’t (easily) teach someone to shoot like he does and you for sure can’t teach his athleticism. His defense is a matter of effort and his driving a matter of the game slowing down for him mentally. Going to be a huge season for him

Floor game and defense have a lot of room for improvement. Let’s see what an off season of hard work does for him. We need a new dimension out of him offensively this year, as if we are playing him, AK and Stew together we run into the same issues we did last year. Excited to see a leap in some of those gaps on his end. He clearly works his tail off so easy dude to pull for.
