According to www.iAsk.ai Ask Ai Questions Search Engine:

Uniform Naming Based on a Single Individual

When referring to the uniform of a single individual, the correct form is to use the singular form of the team name. Therefore, the sentence “Spencer is wearing a Husky uniform.“ is the correct one.

Pluralization of Team Names and Uniforms

Team names can be either singular or plural nouns, depending on the specific name. However, when referring to a uniform that represents a team, it is more common to use the plural form of the animal or mascot. This is because a uniform represents a collective group, in this case, a team. In this particular situation, “Huskies” would be the better choice.

However, it is important to note that there are exceptions to this rule. For example, if the team name is inherently plural, like the “Golden State Warriors,” then the singular form of the mascot would not be used (i.e., “Golden State Warrior”).

In conclusion, while some might argue that “Spencer is wearing a Huskies uniform” could also be correct since “Huskies” is the official name of the University of Washington’s sports teams, the sentence “Spencer is wearing a Husky uniform” is still considered more appropriate and widely accepted as correct.

Glad Time is on the bandwagon but is the singular of Huskies…Husky? Honestly curious. The BY won’t even let me use the term they use.

That's because of the number of idiots who can't spell. I'll lift the filter today, just for you.

Edit: The number of users who have registered "Huskie" usernames stand at 217. I corrected as many as I can, but eventually gave up. Most turned out to be fans of other teams spoofing a UConn username.

Part of me wants them to stand out as idiots who cannot spell. But if posts were run through a spell checker, I'd be at the top of the idiot list.

But ..l: misspelling "husky" as a UConn fan is not a lot different than misspelling your own name. Get it right.

"Huskys" has to be a joke. Don't you mean "huskie's" instead?

[Hey, where'd my emojis go? I wanted to wink.]

Possessive would be huskies’
Quite true, but I was just out-ignorancing "huskys" by inserting an apostrophe to pluralize. That's why I lamented that the various formatting & graphic extras are unaccountably grayed out and unavailable for me to use currently.
