I wonder what the overall effect on productivity in the State is today. I got home from MSG at 1:30 and was awakened by my wife having erroneously set an alarm for 6:00 (unless she was making a passive aggressive point on me being out that late). Thanks honey. I am working but the headache at 66 is much worse than it would have been 10 years ago.

Tired as I can tolerate for a work day. I posted a thread about how people prefer to handle it when you can’t watch live, then stayed up to watch anyway lol. At least I’m off somewhat soon. Props to those who drove home last night!

BL, there's no way the alarm going off was erroneous on her part.

That I got home driving by myself (I met people at the game but they aren’t living in CT) without hitting anyone or anything was not a small accomplishment. Despite having only had one beer that I finished by 8:00.

Pretty tired. Drove in without a problem. Drove out with a jammed 34th street, jammed West Side Highway, jammed 95, tractor trailer on the Hutch, jammed 95 (again). It was like the greatest hits of NY traffic.
Why was 95 jammed after midnight on a Tuesday night?

I rarely drive in, but thought the doubleheader would go really late and didn’t want to spend time waiting for the next train. I was parked on West 38th, but GPS took me through the east side to the FDR to the Deegan, Cross County and Parkway. I had no issues at all (other than staying awake).

That’s the sneaky danger of tired driving. I know the feeling all too well. Glad you made it home safe!

Tired with a slight hangover. Falling asleep is always hard after a game like that, but waking up is much sweeter when it’s win. Big wins like that kinda feel like going to bed on Christmas Eve as a kid.

I usually try to stay away from 95 in Fairfield County at all costs. But I would figure at that time of the day it would be fine. But I guess not. Note to self, never take that stretch of highway.

It’s probably my biggest item in the CON column when considering a move to long island (would frequently be driving back to CT for family visits). Ferries avoid that, but at a pretty steep cost if used regularly.

Thank goodness BYU pulled out the first game in regulation otherwise it would have been a real late night.

Not sure if they didn't need to stop the first game to fix the basket if could have caught an earlier train.

Got into Fairfield at 1:30

At 66 it’s time to switch to P/T or retire fully

No meetings morning after UConn games.

This was all over CT news last week. It’s real. And I live this nightmare daily.

The actual answer is never get on either the highway or parkway in Fairfield County, regardless of how short your trip is, without checking in with either Wavz or Google Maps

I've noticed that over the past 6~8 months, my energy level and ability to stay awake late have both declined. (Might have something to do with my approaching 80th birthday.) Doctor says worrying about it isn't going to help, so I should just adjust my activity level and timing.
I liked it better when I had a doctor who would spend most of my visit discussing UConn hoops.

At least it’s a doctor. My dentist likes to talk hoops which is more difficult when your mouth is full of instruments.
