Yep, of course I'm already looking forward to Katie Lou and Natalie as well.

I miss them too. They had major ups and downs, but they tied the great Diana Taurasi with 3 NCAA championships. Rebecca and Nykesha had only 1. Sue, Tina, and Maya had 2. Surpassing those players is an outstanding accomplishment.

They both have great personalities. Loved what Kiah said during her interview with Holly Rowe, that she will be remembered as the greatest scorer in UCONN history. Geno recruits great people who also happen to be pretty talented on a basketball court.

I think that Geno wanted the major contributors on the court at the end. He did sub out Breanna, accomplishing two things:
Getting Breanna a well-deserved hug and ovation, and
letting Kiah finish her UConn career in the game

in the wake of last night's exhilarating triumph.
Replacing 121 3 pointers, and 141 blocks is going to be hard to do. KML's 3 pointers helped Stewie so much by drawing defenders off of her and placing them on KML...... But we will be fine...

I'm going to miss them both tremendously....2 of my all time favorite players. (and as far as I can tell without actually knowing them as people too as their personalities seem wonderful).
I hope them the best of success and happiness at the next level.

I'll never forget KML's domination of Stanford in November 2011 or Kiah's ownership of Elizabeth Williams in February 2012. It's only gotten better from there. It might get a little worse from here, but their contributions to the continuum of greatness at UConn should only inspire the next arrivals. And Natalie Butler got to practice with them!

Not to be a Debbie Downer.... but will Saniya be back next year?
I wondered the same thing, although we aren't supposed to speculate. So without speculating, I will note that she got exactly 2 minutes of PT in the entire final 4 (2 games) and Gabby got a grand total of 9 minutes and scored 3 points in the 2 games. Of course Ekmark did not get in at all. The good thing for them is UCONN didn't really recruit any guards from 2015, but the bad thing is that Moriah and K Nurse are still ahead of Saniya on the depth chart.

for Ek I think it will be even harder to get PT next year - I would expect KLS and Napheesa to both be ahead of her on the depth chart, where as this year KML was, but Stokes did not play enough of a similar position (guard/wing) so that was irrelevant for Ek.

As for Williams, it was clear in the NC game that she was in over her head - almost turnover, missed defensive assignment, and then missed layup in her 3 minutes. Probably a case of nerves. Hopefully she improves enough so Geno can trust her in big games in the future...

I was half kidding.

But if she accepts her part as a limited role player then it's OK.

On another team I think she'd be a starter and we'd really she how she can play.
