Sarah has clearly matured going into her Sophomore year. Her often painful to watch shyness seems hopefully behind her, and I have to believe that confidence she mentioned is going to lead to a more aggressive leader headed into this coming year.
With all of her amazing skills, I personally find her passing way beyond her years, particularly with her back to the basket where she seemed to have eyes on the back of her head! Perfect bounce passes right to the teammate cutting to the rim....

I agree, her passing skills alone is as elite as any passer in college and in the pro ranks. Dare I say, she is a better passer than Paige this year. Looking back at this season, there are some clips of Strong passing the ball to a cutting teammate that just takes your breath away just watching it. Being an elite ball distributer is all about knowing who your passing it to and how that player likes the ball to be pass to them.

When I found out that Sarah's mother was Allison Feaster I knew that name, but couldn't place from where. Then I believe it was Meghan Como stated it in one of the games on SNY, that in 1998 Harvard a 16 seed beat #1 seed Stanford in the first round of the NCAA. That was here Senior year where she lead the nation in scoring and was a Kodak Div 1 Woman's All-American.

I do believe that Sarah is one of those people who think you say more when you use less words. Unquestionably she displayed shyness at press conferences for much of the season. But if you are suggesting that shyness infected her basketball on the court, I'd call that a stretch and then some. There is simply no correlation.

What I can’t get over is how fortuitous Sarah’s choice of UConn has turned out to be for her. It’s not just winning an NC in her freshman season, though that is pretty awesome. It’s that Geno trusted her to start from day one. I doubt he made any promises to that effect before she committed, but I also suspect he knew she could handle that pressure.
Think of it: an 18 year old kid came to the basketball capital of the world and was immediately made a starter. Or, in other words, the greatest coach in history valued her at that rate. How often has that happened before? Paige, of course. Christyn. Stewie. What about Maya? And not Diana. Renee?
I wonder if Sarah’s mom had a sense of what Geno had planned for her daughter… or how it would all turn out.

I think that, like so.many freshmen, Sarah was deferential on the court and off to the upper class men, particularly Paige, early on. How many times did we see her call for the ball in the early part of the season? I don't recall any. She still scored but it was by her knowledge of positioning that caused her teammates to get her the ball rather than her calling for it.
As the season progressed, she became more aggressive as Geno called plays for her and her teammates began looking for her. By the playoffs she was confident in her role and became a completely different player from her play early on.
But with All America honors and all the other accolades having established this as her and Azzi's team, I believe we will see a much more dominant player than even in the playoffs. Just my opinion.

Last season we had the Big Three and we start this one with Two. Sarah's offense in the NCAAs blended fluidly with the team and she was highly productive. She cannot have an aggresive MeMe offense and her absurd maturity will not push her in that direction. I expect a Third to emerge and I agree that some greater assertiveness from Sarah may be in the picture, but in harmony with what Geno always seeks.
