1st team:
Cliff Robinson
Rudy Gay
Ray Allen
Rip Hamilton
Kemba Walker

2nd Team:
Andre Drummond
Emeka Okafor
Donyell Marshall
Caron Butler
Ben Gordon

3rd Team:
Charlie Villanueva
Toby Kimball
Scott Burrell
Jeremy Lamb
Kevin Ollie

Stephon Castle and Donovan Clingan will be vying to make that 2nd team over the next decade. I can see Emeka and Ben Gordon being replaced by them.

For all the UConn "Best of" debates and lists, the NBA list is the easiest.

Not a whole bunch of debate. You can maybe move a player up or down one level, but it's almost cut and dry.

Good list - probably what I would pick too. I do think Castle has the potential to be 1st team when all is said and done.

I have Caron above Rudy, his highest highs were significantly higher than Rudy's. Ben and Drummond should've been higher but Ben lost interest/had mental health problems and the NBA changed around Drummond. Rudy is the ultimate stat compiler for bad teams.

I think Castle and Clingan have a chance to end up 1st team if they stay healthy.

We've gotta get our guys into better situations in the league.

Ray had a Hall of Fame career on both an individual and team level. Rip was an integral player in a championship organization.

But, like, Rudy Gay never won a playoff series. Drummond has never won a playoff series. Kemba only won playoff series in one year. Lamb only won playoff series in one year. Caron and Ben had some big moments, though it sucks Caron was hurt for the Mavs run in 2011.

I hope Castle and Clingan's teams amount to something. Playing alongside Wemby helps.

Scotty Burrell was certainly a defensive clampdown specialist for a few years with the Bulls.

That's a weird flex and hill to die on. There's nothing stat-wise to support your position, but I'm sure you'll spend time trying.

Caron was a back to back all-star in his 9/10 year prime before injuries derailed his career. He was the second leading scorer on the Mavs team that won it all before he blew out his knee.

Uncle Cliffy (1,380 games and 109 games) and Ray Allen (1,300 games and 101 games) should be cemented, no? Uncle Cliffy for being the pioneer and sheer longevity and Sir Walter Ray for being Ray. Castle & Clingan certainly have the potential to move into the discussion.

Personally I like the combination of UConn + NBA. Drummond only played 1 season at UConn.

Here's a quick search for the top 10 who also happen to be first and second team per the OP
