Got to include Rip Hamilton.
No Gminski? I'd also add Johnny Egan from Weaver/ProvidenceHere's my list of Non-UConn Big East Players from Connecticut. Could have included Gomes and Dunn, but They were PC, you know?
Harold Pressley Uncasville High 1st triple double in BE History -- 19/15/10 against Providence
Harold Jensen Trumbull High 5/5, 4/4 in 85 NCAA Title game.
John Garris Bassick High (Bpt). 18pt/11 board average senior year at BC. Gave up 8 inches to Sampson in the NCAA tourney, but played him to a standstill and got him to foul out a couple minutes into the 2nd half. Then BC stopped going to Garris and lost the game.
John Bagley Harding High (Bpt). Led BC to their only championship in the BE (81 reg season)
Charles Smith Harding High (Bpt)
No Gminski? I'd also add Johnny Egan from Weaver/Providence
A name I haven't seen mentioned in a while is Carl Krauser of Pitt. I can still see him making the X with his arms clearly in my head.
Patrick Ewing
Derrick Coleman
Chris Mullin
Sleepy Floyd
Pearl Washington
Not as good as Kemba or Shabazz. Better than AJ.How good were Sleepy Floyd and Pearl Washington? I know who they played for, but they were before my time. ..
No.And, it kills me to say it, but I think the all time Georgetown team beats our all timers pretty badly.
John Pinone - 'Nova, Jeff Allen - St.John'sNeither fit my criteria. CT High school and BE college.
Gminski went to Duke and Weaver played at Providence just a bit before the Big East was formed. And I disqualified Providence players anyway, just because I felt like it.
Not as good as Kemba or Shabazz. Better than AJ.
No.
Kemba > Sleepy Floyd
Ray > Iverson (it was true then, it's true now, it's always been true)
Caron > Jeff Green (lol)
Donyell = Alonzo
Emeka < Ewing
Our starting 5, and depth, and specialists kill Georgetown's at every spot except center. We get to bring Shabazz, Rip, Khalid, Rudy, Doron and Smitty off the bench. Outside of center the only depth they have is Otto Porter.
We would have an advantage at point guard and more skilled depth but I would have to give the nod to Georgetown's starting 5. Iverson, Alonzo and Ewing is about as good as it gets. Mutombo off the bench and Wingate, Reggie Williams, Greg Monroe, and Michael Sweetney are no slouches. Not as good as Kemba or Shabazz. Better than AJ.

That got a laugh from me as well, homerism at it's finest.Donyell and alonzo equal. Jeez.
Alonzo was a liability at PF against any team that could spread the floor. Which is how we beat them twice in 1990.Donyell and alonzo equal. Jeez.

Alonzo was a better center than Donyell was a PF. Donyell was a better PF than Alonzo was a PF.Lol. Ok. The hall of fame didnt seem to care.
yes! Like Troutman (and Dievendorf at Cuse). Not saying he did, but didn't it feel like krauser was at Pitt for like 6 years?
I thought Floyd and Washington were very worthy opponents in the BE. Washington was very exciting to watch as well. How good were Sleepy Floyd and Pearl Washington? I know who they played for, but they were before my time. ..
