The Mountain West announced theirs yesterday.

Fun facts:
DPOY Bailey Thomas of UNLV is the older sister of Arizona's Sam Thomas.
FOY Haley Cavinder of Fresno State has a twin sister who also stars for the league-leading Bulldogs.

Pac Awards. No surprises anywhere. Pili from USC is the only freshman on the All Pac team.

I wonder if Chelsea Dungee will go on another twitter rant for being left off 1st team.

15 players is a bit excessive for All-Conference. PAC is the premiere conference this year, but breaking it up to 10 on first team and 10 on second team makes more sense IMO.

Did this happen last year? I missed that.

Endiya Rogers wasn't even Honorable Mention for All Freshmen team. That is insane to me. She was way better than several that were chosen as HM. Did the committee completely forget about her?

I agree but she had great games and some really bad ones. Pili already looks like an upperclassman. Nonetheless, for her to not even garner a vote is ridiculous.

Very strange. Not seeing an explanation for this.

Yeah she went on a big twitter rant about being left off first team, they spoke about it during the SEC tournament games how she felt disrespected and how it was a big part of her motivation for tearing up the SEC tournament.

She probably deserved it last year.

Maybe, but her team finished 10th in conference and the SEC only had an 8 woman team. You rarely see players from teams in the bottom half get 1st team honors especially with limited spots.

Agree it's stupid and it has been that way for a while. WHen I had to add 5 to my early projection of 10, I coudl easily get the top 13, but the last two I thought was between Pili, Jaelen Brown of Cal, Reese, and Thomas. I picked the wrong two on my guess think they might not give it to a Freshman and I knew they woudl only take 1 of the two Zona players, but I thought Thomas D was pretty big for Arizona. She did get on the D team along with Minyon, the only two of the 5 who didn't make the all conference team..

No Stanford player got to the 5 but they were some incredible players. Also they didn't even give Haley Jones nor Kennedy Brown HM when they started several PAC12 games. ACC gives 8 players on their Freshman all-conference team, which is smart. Anaya Peoples of ND got on it even though she only started 2 ACC games before she got hurt. PAC12 may play the best women's BBall, but they could sure learn somethings from other conferences about determining their all-conference teams.

Guessing they have different criteria conference by conference, or just undefined criteria so some vote including the injured players, some vote thinking they're ineligible. Best example of this was Tamika Catchings being voted 2nd team All-SEC as a senior since she only played 17 games even though she was NPOY the year before and a top candidate again up until her injury. Should've been not on any team or been 1st team IMO.

Participation trophies for everyone! In reality, I like the 15-player PAC-12 All-Conference Team with no categorization of first, second, or third team status. With 12 teams in the conference, there still are 1-2 players each year who are on the cusp of selection but the coaches (or assistant coaches if the task is delegated) tend to get it relatively right each year.

Will be interesting to see what kind of numbers USC's Pili will put up during her career. She is reportedly the only frosh in D1 to put up at least 16/8. If she stays healthy, you can pencil her in as a 2k/1k player. Extremely strong yet surprisingly agile.
