I'd like to nominate a UConn All-Bruise team, the players who left the most skin on the floor. My 5 are
Kelly Faris, Jen Rizzotti, Shea Ralph, Tiff Hayes, and Mel Thomas. Tiff gets special recognition for having most of her skin burns happen on the offensive end. There are a few other good candidates, but none I think had to spend as much time in the whirlpool as these 5.

Somewhat relevant, I remember being at Shea's first exhibition game, the year after Jen graduated, and thinking that nobody will forget Jen, but this new kid might make it a lot easier to to handle.

If it were for giving out bruises, I'd nominate, Ralph, Hansmeyer and Dolson off the top of my head.

Damn ACL's.

Since you entitled this OP "All Bruise Starting 5" I suggest you add Diana and Brianna. Dee got routinely mugged (especially by the not-so-ladylike Vols) anytime she cut through the lane and opponents have determined that Stewie is (1) a deadly shooter and (2) a skinny freshman, so it's logical to smack her around rather then retrieve the ball after it swishes through the hoop.

Conversely, we have had some studs who could rattle the bones of opponents. Asja, Bam Bam, and Jamelle come to mind, but Kaleena is learning.

POD...post of the day

A morning laugh for me...Thanks Kib...

Don't disagree about the kids who can dish it out and take it. The definitely take (and hand out) their lumps. This is more about the kids who spent a lot of time face down on the floor.

So we need an All-Floor-Burn Team, an All-Bruised Team, and an All-Bruiser Team.
