The full hour and 45 minute interview this was part of is incredible

Finally got around to this. It’s the best interview I’ve seen with Dan and Andrea thus far. Honestly terrific work by the interviewer. Props to Dan and Andrea for being so open and thoughtful with every question.

Andrea might need a statue next to Dans once he hangs it up.

Awhile back there was rumors of something like that. Guess it fell through.
Yeah. Whatever happened to that? It seemed like it was a done deal. Maybe because they can't show abuse on these docs?

the small Gs not being great at defending ball screens and slow reactions from harris that were discussed in the coaches meeting would not bode well for our D

Knowing Hurley's history, that probably means that our small guards are defending screens well, and Tarris's reactions are advanced. He plays mind games like this.

Not being ultra competitive myself, I can understand, I think, why some recruits are not chomping at the bit to subject themselves to this. This is not a criticism, it is a compliment to the championship culture Hurley and his staff promote. Amazing and frightful all at once

You've gotta be cool as a cucumber (Tristen) or equally as psychotic (Cam) to thrive here.

Dan and the team are trying to do something extraordinary this year- A threepeat. Gotta push the entire organization in extraordinary ways to achieve that goal. If you're not buying in 24/7- You're letting everyone down. IA's text to him is a perfect example of a winner's attitude.

Dan expects everyone associated with the team to have the same passion and intensity -every day-that he does. One of the ways winners become champions.

“Practice hard so games are easy” seems to apply here.

I could watch one of these videos everyday.

And who do I contact to get a leather Husky logo chair for my office?

Just a glimpse into what goes into the team we see on the court and it’s amazing the energy and thought our coaching staff invests. No one resting on any laurels either.
He thinks Reed is slow to react? He’s seen his tapes for 2 seasons.

Imagine Hurley getting on Lebron and AD like that in a practice. Lol the adjustment he would have to make would be massive. Not saying he couldn’t do it…it’s just kinda of funny to think about

this is actually so information packed. probably an hour worth of analysis packed into 5 minutes of footage.

Aaaaaaand thats why this program has won 2 consecutive national titles. DH has won on every level hes been on and if he goes to the NBA some day he will win there too. He doesnt know how to fail.

the yelling isn't the only aspect of hurley's coaching that this video highlighted. it's really about the attention to detail and insistence on execution and effective use of time. i think the way people tend to think about hurley as an nba coach is akin to how people see thibs, focusing on the loud part of minutes etc but discounting the value generating part of focusing on tactics and execution.

he'll have to tone it down a lot but that's not the main part of his success.

I suspect the yelling is overrepresented in these kind of clips. coaches being nice doesn't get clicks. videos of geno's practices are the same way.

Half the whiteboard is blurred out. Would seem weird for Hurley to be saying anything that's not calculated here.

Fascinating interview. It’s amazing to me that Hurley has the time and is this open with the media
It helps with enhancing the brand and with recruiting.

I don’t think Hurley would adjust but the players would have to. Hurley isn’t going to change now or ever.
