He developed the pump fake and drive before this past season. If he adds even a mediocre cross over he’s much more dangerous.

A senior Newton was very effective (Cam too). Was wondering how a 3rd year Karaban would compare to a 17/18 year old Duke player. No question who would be NBA better choice, but what about next year in college.
Duke/UConn final four game would be a ratings mega game.
Karaban learns how to effectively hunt his shot, 2025 UConn will be crazy good on offense. Maybe 16/6 guy which would be super good on a team this loaded.

duke's front court is uber long and athletic. don't think AK is doing too much there. but that game would still come down to guard play.

Not sure why they wrote this article now but here you go.

Alex Karaban, UConn

Karaban has an opportunity to do something that hasn't been done in a long time: Win three national titles as a player. Karaban bypassed the NBA Draft to return to school and should be a preseason All-American candidate and the undisputed veteran leader for the two-time reigning national champions. Stephon Castle, Tristen Newton and Donovan Clingan are gone, but having Karaban back is a nice safety net. If Karaban meets the moment as UConn's "lead guy" he should be a surefire first-round pick.
