He obviously should have his own thread, not lumped in with post game thoughts.

Thank you to the all time Husky legend. Represented everything the Hurley era is about. A great man, leader, and basketball player. Deserving of all the accolades and love from the fanbase.

One NBA team is getting the ultimate winner.

P.S.

Thanks for being worth more to Dan than the Lakers...

Its going to feel so weird not seeing him out there next season. 2 national titles, 3 Final Fours, and an 18-2 record in the tournament with both loses coming to the national champions is about as good of a career as a player can hope for in this day and age. Hope we see him back one day at UConn in some capacity.

Saying goodbye to Alex is really difficult.

Can't say enough about what he's meant to the program.

What a legend. Long may you run, Alex!
I'm selfish.

I'm mostly dreading the loss of the calming influence he had on the floor. I try not to get too sentimental with players. So I can only assess it as a huge loss on the floor. You can bring in portal all-stars, you can bring in McD AAs, but in losing Alex, you've lost something integral. You've lost a very important bridge between the coaches and the other players, and it's not going to be easy to make it up.

AK is UConn and goes down as one of the greats for his commitment, loyalty, character and uncountable number of clutch plays. Thanks for all you did, Alex. You left the arena as a warrior.

It's kind of amazing.

We've had two under the radar kids from Massachusetts who both won two titles and became legends. As hard as it was to see UConn without Napier after 143 games, it's going to be even harder without Karaban after 150.

JUst a big THANK YOU to AK 11, great 4 years and it was fun to watch you play. Such a team player in an era of selfish players.
You will be missed.
Good luck in the future and you will find a spot on a team looking for character and solid players,
God Bless you.

Last of the old-school 4-year college players.

Was so not ready for this day to come. I really don't get emotional about guys leaving this one really hits different. Thank you AK for everything.

Last night after the game I obviously knew that I was upset that was Alex’s last game. But man, I woke up today thinking about it even more. I’m REALLY going to miss Alex. He helped kick off the start of the title run and was a key starter every year for back to back and making it back to the title game this year

He’s a perfect representation of UConn basketball. I’m excited for next year but I already know I’ll be a bit upset in October and November when I see us play without him

THANK YOU ALEX KARABAN

All I can say is it was entirely appropriate for him to have his jersey raised while still playing for the team. Absolute computer on the court in BBIQ. Amazing career, and Alex, you will be sorely missed.

Forever a UConn great. Thanks Alex.

He is going to be missed even far more than people realize now, me included. Thank you Alex.

Having an Alex Karaban was like having another coach out on the floor. His presence and leadership was such an intangible factor in making this year successful. He's been one of my favorite UConn players and I hope some NBA team decides to grab him as he represents high character and the heart of a winner. He will be missed. I hope Solo and Ross emulate some of this for the team next year.

Solo and Tarris were both visibly upset and emotional after the game. Fast forward a bit to the presser. Asked about Alex and you could see the joy in their face when they got to talk about him and what he means to them

We will see you at our many future final 4's Alex, along with all of the other Husky legends. You're forever cemented in our hearts and minds as a true champion, and the way you carried us through the end of this year will be immortalized on our UConn walls. You almost did it one last time but we fell short. You made us proud to be Huskies.
