Thanks. It makes Roscoe's transfer more puzzeling. For teams getting hit with the APR ban, players who will be seniors are given a pass on having to sit out, but only seniors.
Let's see, a bunch of players leaving this year... no NCAA/BigEast/any post-season... possibly a new coach within 2 years (ie. before he leaves). Should I keep going? Maybe he doesn't want to pay the price for something he didn't do.Thanks. It makes Roscoe's transfer more puzzeling.

JC isn't going anywhere by the time Roscoe would have left. If anything, it would have been in conjunction with him leaving. The thought that JC would retire after 2013 is just hilarious. JC is retiring in 2014 if he isn't retiring now. End of story.
How do you know that? I don't even know if Calhoun knows that yet.
Why on earth would he retire in a season where he can't win another championship? It makes zero sense. All signs point to him not retiring this year (as people have said...Boat and Bazz probably would leave if he does leave). However, JC definitely is coming to the end of his tenure. 2014 ends his 5 year contract extension (remember it covered 2010 as well). If he were to return later, he would probably only sign small deals (1 or 2 years) and that will probably kill any recruiting for those few years.
Therefore 2014 makes all the sense for when he retires. Yeah, maybe he doesn't know...but it's clearly the most logical choice.
