I thought this was an interesting article. Many UConn fans ask why they chose UConn if they knew they weren't going to play much. They talk about how they're doing with it now. Both sound like great guys who are fine with their roles.

“It’s been everything I ever dreamed of,” Millender said. “Taking every day with a professional approach, being ready just in case the opportunity does come… My form of coping with anything is pretty much laughter and jokes… Everywhere I’ve been it’s pretty much been just laughing, jokes, ‘the show has arrived’ almost. I gotta have fun everywhere I go, gotta sing, gotta dance, gotta laugh, gotta rap, freestyle a little bit. Everywhere I’ve been it’s been like that, since I was a child.”

They may not play a ton, but these two UConn men’s basketball seniors add to winning culture

For anyone that's had the privilege to see the team live this year, you've likely seen how key Millender is off the court. Guy is a total burst of energy with the entire team keying off him in warm-ups during huddles. Seems to be an unsung hero that keeps this crew together, an essential role given how long the season is. Good write-up

Thanks for sharing great read. And if you watch the games in detail, look for the guys who are the “cheerleaders” on the bench it’s obvious Alec is having the time of his life, a great teammate and Koroma is a very close 2nd. So happy to read he had some family at the game as well.

I see Furphy a lot when there's a timeout (non media) and we see the bench he is always pumped the team did something.

Millender seems to have that Donnell Beverly factor when it comes to being a huge off-the-court contributor
