SMU adding beer sales to stadium this fall: http://www.myfoxdfw.com/story/25849197/smu-to-expand-beer-sales-to-ford-stadium-in-fall

I've noticed that also the new UH and Tulane stadiums are going to serve beer in our conference. That means American Conference teams serving some form of alcohol inside the stadium include:

UConn, UH, Tulane, SMU, USF? EDIT: bottom of article also states that Memphis and Cincinnati have beer sales inside their stadiums.

We talked about this a little in one of the Conference Realignment board threads but it's pretty interesting to see the trend towards lax alcohol rules inside of stadiums.

What's so lax about only being allowed one beer at a time?

Yeah the beer drinkers make the tumbleweeds less conspicuous.

Was listening to a BYU preseason media show yesterday. Their joke (slight) was that where ever BYU plays the concessions run out of Sprite and Hot Chocolate.

Pretty sure Waquoit was being sarcastic, and yes you can buy beer at USF.

Cincy is on campus, does this mean UConn could serve beer at Gampel if they wanted to?

you need to drink a lot to love this conference. It's like drinking a lot and thinking the 300lb shebeast next to you at the bar looks like Claudia Shiffer by the end of the night.

This. Isn't Tulane and UH building on campus stadiums? My guess is that it depends on whether a campus is "dry" or not regarding beer sales. I can't imagine ANYTHING dry in New Orleans so selling beer on campus at a stadium is no shock.

UConn plays off campus so beer sales are allowed
