Houston at #7, Navy #17. Solid years for both those programs.
We were competitive against both teams, while splitting. We are not that far away. Need more explosive speed on offense and overall depth. We are close to breaking out in a couple of years.

Need better over all team speed and more imposing offensive and defensive lines. Better pressure on opposing QB's and some unpredictability in the offensive scheme wouldn't hurt either.

Interesting that in that final poll's Top 10 you have 1 independent, 1 G-5 school, 3 B1G, 2 Big 12 and then 1 each of the 'Mighty" SEC(that's got to be a concern), PAC12 and ACC. Not bad for the parity lovers. Seven of 10 from different conferences(well ND is independent).

Another interesting note: Houston has a shot to make a playoff statement the first week next season vs Oklahoma at the old Reliant(now NRG) Stadium. Wonder if that's still being considered a home game for them as it's in Houston but not their home field.

Temple had a chance to end the season at or close to the Top 20 but they didn't show up for their bowl game and ended up #29. That would have given the AAC 3 in the Top 25 which would have tied the ACC & PAC12 for teams in the final Top 25 poll. Gotta win those bowl games people.
