I should have been on Akron with Michigan coming off huge win. Michigan slept through first 30+ min. It was 10-7 akron when they woke up.
 
Haha, just saw that Chuck Amatto is the Akron DC. Just blitzed and sacked Garner and the next play they force a punt. Want to see what the Akron can do. Taylor Lewan all american Tackle for UM is down and appears injured.
 
Lewan got rolled up from behind, looks like an ankle but he is up and walking off the field.
 
1st and goal Akron after a long completion on a go route.

Akron is playing well. We better be able to play offense if there is any hope.

QBs that can run are so huge in college. Gardner looks frazzled takes off runing for huge gainer.
 
Screwed by the refs, but Bowden also did a bad job after that review to made third and half a yard instead of first down at the one.
 
That was so bad it was unreal.

This is why you coach Akron.

Just completely mangled by Akron.

If an Akron fan exists I imagine they are headed to burn down Bowden's office.

Screwed because they weren't at the line snapping the ball.

Agreed. Bowden got nervous, like the moment was too big for him. He literally looked scared on the sideline. Too bad. Would have been epic for Akron.
 
I have seen worse ref screw jobs, but the most remarkable about that game is how completely expected it was that the refs would step in and take the game over. Either the clock is set at 23 seconds, or they have a first down. Taking away the first down and running off 8 seconds doesn't make any sense at all. On the last play, the Michigan DB tackled the Akron receiver at the line, and it wasn't even a judgment call by the ref. There was a bad pass interference call on the previous Michigan drive.

It isn't bad officiating when the calls always break the same way. It is cheating.
 
The American needs to use some of the exit money collected and pay their refs better wink, wink.
 
I'm trying to decide how much to blame the defense for this - 10 of Akron's points were from turnovers by Gardner.

Looks to be a feast/famine year.
 
I can't put it on the refs. Akron moved so slow they were only getting 3 plays anyway - so 3rd versus 1st down didn't matter.

That contact on the last play is never pass interference.
 
It was horrible coaching. But first down and 23 seconds is far different from 3rd and a half a yard with 15 seconds. That toss sweep was idiotic at best.

The clock was still running when the refs blew it dead at 15 and they weren't set. I thought Akron called timeout. They weren't getting off more than 2 plays. First versus third didn't matter because Akron bungled it so badly.

Sounds like Micb just survived the zipper heads. Amazing what coaching can do for an out-manned team.

How was their coaching last week? Didn't they get waxed 38-0 by UCF?
