Spent a lot of time at the hall when this team played. Luther Wright was a beast. Gentle as a lamb. Always in the cafeteria. My high school snowball date was Hurley’s girlfriends roommate. He and I had an awkward interaction. Just really wanted to name drop. Next I’ll tell you about how my assistant professors landscapers cousin brought a pizza at a place Derek jeter did when he was in high school.
 
Wait -- Adrian Griffin's son? The undersized 3 for the Hall? That was a good Big East player, but the last thing I needed on the verge of a round birthday next week was this as a reminder of how long I've been following UConn basketball.

Round birthday are a good reason for it.
 
Older brother plays at Illinois. They lived in Illinois for quite some time.

Coached against him when he was 9-13. Basically knew immediately he was special. Incredibly young for the class and was dominating. Mom was a track athlete I believe. Great kid too. Would be an awesome get.
 
Sorry if this was mentioned (and not sure if it’s up to date) but 247 shows his first and only unofficial so far was to the good guys in December.

He has been seen a few times in UConn gear, visited Western Kentucky this past weekend and Kentucky visit planned for next week when the play Arkansas.

That’s what got me through law school. But I get hitting level 18.
 
Just to give proper props to his father Adrian Griffin. One of the better players to ever play in the Big East, natural scorer, was good at everything, and I'm sure he was all Big East a couple of times. If the son is anything like his father he's a special player.

His Dad was good. 2nd and 3rd team selections. Never got the first team, conference and especially the wing was pretty loaded when he was a senior (the Allens, Kittles, and John Wallace). Could have made an argument over Danya Abrams, but the Pirates were pretty bad.
