George Hill was injured a couple weeks ago and AJ has been struggling a bit trying to be a productive back-up, but he looked pretty good tonight (8 points, 3-6 shooting, ran the show well) and the Pacers stayed with him in crunch time. All of his minutes are important now as he tries to stick in the league. He's overcome a lot, so I'm sure we'd all like to see him have a solid 10-year career, although the fact he made it at all is a tribute to him - he had a long uphill road coming back, and then had those two bad knee injuries derail him along the way.

Would be great if he had an Ollie-like career. Love rooting for him!

Good news! I had checked his stats the other day and noticed he was barely playing this year.

I think AJ doesn't get all the credit he deserves as an all time Husky great. Like to see him doing well.

I read some post game quotes. Nets have big guards, way too big for Darren Collison. Pacers put Paul George on D Will and AJ was guarding the 2 which was either Morrow, DeShawn Stevenson, or MarShon Brooks.

AJ looked quick out there, he even did a decent job on D Will on switches.

Unfortunately, injuries have really sidetracked his basketball career. One of my favorite players, he just had a shot whenever we needed it; still remember the san diego game and there's just no way we would have lost if he hadn't gotten hurt.

Thing is - when you watched him play his first season at UConn, you wouldn't have thought he had any chance of the NBA. I remember expecting him to be rusty and ready to give him some slack, but I was not expecting to see someone slow, unathletic, and unable to shoot. He just looked like he was running in mud, and he shot the ball like a tired, old guy at the Y. Clearly, that wasn't the real A.J. Price - he needed a long time just to get his coordination and his strength back. It was much tougher than just coming back from an ACL. Which, of course, he then had to come back from once he got back to full speed.

I think it's awesome seeing AJ play, he's got some good NBA highlights on Youtube which is cool.

Here's to a good career! Hopefully Adrien gets picked up as well, maybe AJ should tell Larry Bird about him.

I loved watching that 2009 team. Even more than last year's squad.

Because the 2009 team wasn't a heart attack to watch every game? You just knew they were going to win almost every game. Last year's team was a ton of fun, but I swear they took a year off my life and will cause me to go gray at least 10 years sooner than is normal.

AJ's easily my favorite Husky, ever. Incredibly mentally tough, I think he'll have a long NBA career. He can play in this league, he's proven it over and over again.

How about that Gonzaga clip.

1) AJ trusted Craig to take the final shot
2) Jeff Adrien keeps the ball alive
3) Jerome didn't force a shot or panic when he got the ball back
4) After AJ hit the 3, our guys got a key stop, with Craig and Hash hitting the floors to secure a loose ball

Little things like trust, hustle, depth, heart.

This team was great, wish they had won 3 more games. (Cuse, MSU, and UNC)

It's very nice to see AJ get such recognition. I can recall the days when the debates raged on whether he should have been allowed to stay at UConn. It would appear that the decision to allow him to stay worked out rather well for all involved.

I loved watching that 2009 team. Even more than last year's squad.

The 09 team might have been the most experienced and cohesive we've had since the 99 team. They had plenty of talent, but maybe not as much as the 04, 06, or even 11 team. However, before Dyson went down, they started a five year senior, another senior who started three years in a row, and then three juniors, all of whom were extremely talented. In terms of execution and "professionalism" that team was second to none.

I attribute the sea of gray hairs I got last Spring to that team. Nail biters from the BE Tourney straight through to the NCAA Final.

Loved watching last year's team more. The close games are nerve-racking, but the joy when they pull off the wins in those close games beats the pants off of other wins for me.

Every time AJ gets minutes for Indiana he produces - makes you wonder how a guy like Lance Stephenson was getting minutes over him earlier this year.
