I had my first Nick Ahmed sighting tonight. Inserted as a pinch-runner and promptly killed a DBags rally in the 8th by getting thrown out stealing second.

Ahmed has struggled mightily at the plate in his limited MLB experience but it seems his glove is good enough to keep him relevant as a backup infielder while he tried to figure out how to get some hits. Would be great to have him/Barnes stick in the show.

Nick is killing us with his D this series though. Wish Mercer had his range and glove.

Nick just did the unforgiveable. Extra innings, D-Bags have no bench players left, Ahmed argued a strike call and got tossed.

If DBags tie this up, a pitcher will be in a position - probably OF - and an OF will play 2b.

Saw it on ESPN this morning wasn't a strike but the situation was awful for him to choose to argue it.
