Do we double back to the candidate who still wants us? Sounds like Durango?

I think we are sitting pretty with Purvis, Hamilton, Cassell and Rock to replace Napier, Giffey, Olander & Kromah. Maybe another big shakes loose, but you don't want to force anything. Wouldn't be surprised if a 5th year transfer would be in play again. Ollie seems to like grabbing the experienced players for one year- the reverse one and done.

And Kasongo (close haha) is out of the picture.

Melvin Swift

Makes zero sense to still recruit Swift and not Robinson. They're basically the same size and position...Robinson is just better. We've also put a lot more legwork into Robinson...why give up now to recruit a lesser player at the same position? I know this would never happen, but would love to hear a coach's explanation of this.

Again, you're assuming that we cooled on Robinson when the much more likely scenario is that it was the other way around.

We're responding to stuff that was said over a month ago by Robinson's coaches and other insiders. This was long before his Indiana visit and long before his supposed friend verbaled there.

Well, we've read nothing saying it was the other way around, only that UConn stopped recruiting him, so you're assuming as well.

I don't know, I think the "UConn backed off or cooled on player x" gets thrown around alot on here too easily but the timeline is adding up. UConn wasn't listed as recruiting Robinson very hard by his coach during the summer, then there was a poster on here saying about a month ago that a member of Robinson's coaching staff said UConn had cooled on him, now you have the poster on the Rivals site saying yesterday the visit wasn't happening because Robinson only sees himself as playing the 3 and the staff doesn't see him as just that. It does kinda make sense that at the very least both sides cooled on each other, with it more than likely being weighed more on UConn's side.

Might not be any others for 14 for now. If Boat and DD have a NBA draft pick season this year then we could add someone in the spring, like a Sr transfer or maybe a kid reclassifies.

I would have liked Robinson because I think he has great potential but we are in very good shape for next year, our backcourt is loaded. We will focus on the '15 class and I expect us to get someone in the spring for '14, there is always some decommits, a reclassify, someone blows up or a 5th year senior. There was another 6'7/6'8 forward we were involved with, his name was similar to Deonte Graham but I can't come up with it.

Swift is more of a 4/5 like Facey. Robinson is more 3/4 like DD. It would actually make more sense to recruit Swift considering we already have Dham and Calhoun who can both play the 3.

The only position we need is a 5. Get one if there's a good one available. otherwise we're set.

I wouldn't be shocked to see a Kromah/Evans type player if Boat and Daniels leave. Ollie needs some available scholarships for 2015.

We still need a big. Who knows what we have with Lubin. Guy has been hurt and we were his only offer. Say we wait it out, tho don't sign another project time guy. Think we still have a big need at the four next year if Daniels goes pro.

Daniels will be back w/Boat rooming together off campus after the fans speculation ends following the Huskies Final4 run. They will both claim "unfinished business" as the motivating factor. In reality they will both be driving BazzMobiles (nice ride) their Sr. years and looking forward to professional hoops careers.

I would take Air Bud though if his "handlers" are open to receiving milk bones on his behalf. Fluedy and mauconn et al. are making the delivery. ;)

I think we are done recruiting and that is just fine unless some stud 5 decommits.

I don't see how this is possible. Swift has an offer and is coming to visit. So what, Ollie meets him at the airport and says, "oh, nevermind"? If we are done, KO should have pulled the offer.

I said at least a couple days ago Swift is not visiting this weekend. He may be rescheduling it.
