My friend just parked there and said they upped the rate to 20?

Not sure if she's in the right lot -- I'm stuck at work -- she said it's the "softball field lot." And it was $15 the last four years but just upped it.

Most people don't realize you can negotiate with the offsite lots when you pull up. If the game is nowhere near a sellout there are more inclined to work with you. I have never paid full price at an offsite lot. Especially if cars start to back up behind you. You just tell them you want to turn around and they don't want to put up with the hassle and will except your offer.

Yep, "oh man, all I have is $15, sorry....." while waving a 10 and fin in front of the attendant.

So what was the scoop here... did they decide to capitalize on the "free ticket" crowd or is the published price $20 going forward.

It looked like they were officially $20, the sign even said "Event Parking $20."

I parked in Aircraft club lot they bumped price to 20 bucks,..major rip-off!! Last time I park there.

Thanks for letting us know. I'll tell my wife for when she comes later in the tailgate period with the kids.

For those complaining,, it seems to me that you have two choices: Park there or don't. It's not absurd to me. It's inflation and capitalism. If the price truly is unreasonable, customers will find a different place to park, but I certainly can understand why they would bump the price after 4 years of stagnation.

Silva's was still $15. Easy in, easy out.

What was red lot yesterday?
According to the website. UConn GA football parking is $15, but you can't use charcoal.

I have blue lot passes and I consider the price baked into the donation and season ticket cost. Ergo, free.

I parked there yesterday as I usually do. For the proximity to the stadium and the ease of getting out, I guess I can cough up the extra $5.

Yep $20 now. Seems absurd. No real reason behind it.
sure there is, parking on the rent property went up so why wouldnt the surrounding lots go up as well?

Parking at The Rent is still $15.

If you park in the red lot more than once.... we probably need to have an intervention. Unless you being led through a mile long hike where half the time you are walking in the opposite direction from where you need to go.

Once they stop playing Spirit In the Sky in the stadium they should probably sit down and come up with a way to make the official parking less odious than a trip to the dentist.
