Are we sure this guy will get minutes this year for Florida? I know he's 7-9 but he's very very raw and awkward.
I'd hope not. Even if he's raw, he's still huge and it might still be very difficult to rebound and get shots made due to his sheer size.

Luke Schenser was not on the Kalk level, but a very good defender. Emeka ate him for lunch in the 04 title game (24 points, 15 boards). Also - Emeka managed to foul out three Duke big men. His explosiveness is underrated. He played in an era with less spacing. Imagine him in a Hutley’s system. Emeka’s points would be similar, but his efficiency - already high - would increase.
Shensher was 7'3" and Okafor was 6'10"....both were the same weight around 260 lbs. The physical difference? Only 5 inches. Talent difference? On offense Okafor > Shensher...and on defense Okafor >> Shensher

Guard play is the most important element in college basketball. We experienced that first hand with the Mahaney experiment not working out as we had hoped, and then we asked way too much of a hobbled Hassan. And then you look at UF with Walter Clayton Jr...

Our team is stacked with wings, just like last year. We just need to get them the ball in dangerous spots. Hard to argue with any of the PGs on your list but Kemba was arguably the best and most clutch PG of the last 20 years so.... Why not? We couldn't really beat anyone off the dribble last year, and Kemba's quicks and crossovers kept his defenders on skates. Hopefully Malachi can play that role.

That said, I'd love to see Bazz or Tristen get a third ring.
I pretty much second this word for word. To add, I think our biggest struggle this year will be not having a true pg

It is interesting that Kemba or someone of his ilk isn’t getting more love. Imagine Kemba or Shabazz at their highest powers with Ball, Mullins, AK and Reed?

We’ve won at least 3 championships with below avg bigs and exceptional, generational guards.
