Great point by Geno about the quick two-day turn-around for different teams.
"That's what happens in the NCAA Tournament. You play somebody on Sunday, and you have somebody completely different on Tuesday. The more we are in that situation, the better for us."
Like the difference between Texas and Dayton in regionals last year, which could hardly be bigger. You crunch the big squad by a huge margin, than you get pestered by this smaller team that just wants to zip the ball around a shoot outside jumpers and 3s, and it can take awhile to get settled down. With a thin bench at the moment, it's also something like the Tourney small core-unit time already.
Lou's health is really important tonight because she's the only other guard option if Saniya is out or is limited. Otherwise Kia and Mo will have to play big minutes with little rest. I don't know if the starting guards have been afflicted with the severe cold that's troubling Lou, but that alone could compromise their play. Gabby can bring the ball up in a pinch as can Ekmark.
Guard play is a team's engine; w/out an effective engine things can stall. Could be a dicey night.
