Kelly will always be one of my all time favorite Huskies. Saw an old Cheers clip last night of Woody Harrelson's character piano bit "Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly...." right after I read the article in the JI. Strange timing :)
 
What an attitude, what a winner and that is why she is at UCONN. Kelly is the perfect example of why our program has achieved the success it has. How can you go wrong with a kid like this ? And do you know what the funny thing is...a whole lot of coaches across America did not see it either. That is Geno ! He sees things in kids that other coaches don't. He doesn't want you just because you are great on the bball court. Are you greedy, are you coachable, do you want to work hard, and what kind of teammate will you be. I know there are others, but I have to go to work at some point. lol

I just love Kelly Faris ! She could have played 40 yrs ago, 20 yrs ago, and she could probably play on Mars 20 yrs from now, if they ever play bball there !
 
I am thrilled at the attention and praise that Kelly is already receiving this season:)
A # of us have loved this kid from day one! Many had posted in previous seasons questioning
Geno playing her! Last season it was talked about how she couldn't be a leader on this team because she did not score enough. Well per KML and others she is the leader both in her work ethic,her speaking up,her reaching out to teammates,and her play
on the court! She is a Geno "girl/woman/player" Many may not know she was a McD AA,and ranked by ASGR #7 her Sr Year! I am ecstatic to see what is being written and said about her!

I want Kelly on any team I was a fan of! Don't rule out her playing in the WNBA,but 1st she has some unfinished business this season;)

She's been a part of 108 wins in three seasons. Very few kids are part of 108 wins in four seasons.

A big cheer for Kelly, Caroline, and Heather tonight!
 
God bless this team and kepp them all healthy this season. The moon and the stars are all aliened for a perfect season with the toughest game at home......Go UCONN!!
