Well worth the two mins... take the Hurley haters to the woodshed
Most of their boos mean nothing to me because I see what some or a lot of them cheer for.Well worth the two mins... take the Hurley haters to the woodshed
Thank you for posting this; I wouldn't have heard it otherwise. It is right on the money.Well worth the two mins... take the Hurley haters to the woodshed
Thank you for posting this; I wouldn't have heard it otherwise. It is right on the money.
This is a great one tooThank you for posting this; I wouldn't have heard it otherwise. It is right on the money.
You and the "get off my lawn" crew have put way too much thought into this. He yells at officials. Every hall of fame coach before him has done the same. Get over it.Everyone is afforded their opinions.
Love how there are some who erroneously throw out that stupid nomenclature of "Hurley haters"
Just because some of us would love our coach to act his age rather than his shoe size doesn't mean we hate the guy.
Rather than paint everything with broad brushes why don't you folks invest in some smaller in size.
I challenge you to find in any of Tom's, Mau's, mine or others that you have seemingly id'd as haters to find anywhere in our postings that flatly stated - I hate Dan Hurley.
For every one of these "experts" I will bet there are many more out there who look down at Dan Hurley's behavior and attitude towards basketball officials.
And try to take any of us to the woodshed.
As I have said before - Dan Hurley had a great veiled comment directed at Pitino and Creighton - absolutely brilliant - he needs to do more of that instead of pointing fingers at refs when asked not to, call refs names, and declaring himself the king of all coaches.
I do not hate Dan Hurley, I hate what comes out of his mouth when he talks to the refs. He has every right to question calls and to express his opinion of those calls but alienating folks who may have a direct impact upon results is not needed and not an intelligent way to perform your duties.
This is a great one too
Lots of pearl clutching going on hereJust because you aren’t lying doesn’t mean you’re right and that it’s not stupid.
It's a generational divide. Which is strange considering all of older fans experienced Jim Calhoun.Lots of pearl clutching going on here
It really is. Then you add in the clickbait clowns who get them goingIt's a generational divide. Which is strange considering all of older fans experienced Jim Calhoun.
Really hoping that the staff does stay together for awhile. They’re young. They can continue to grow and learn here, creating a dynasty, growing their families, then go and make that moneyHe’s good. He’s right. But you know what? We are lucky. Why? Because Dan is tortured by that loss and will do everything thing short of giving his kidney to put the right pieces in place to address any shortages our roster will have. He’s already working on it you can be sure, and he already knows what he has to do.
I beg, please keep our staff together for at least 1 more year and they will get it done.
Coach K didn’t do it as often but he did it too on occasion. Bob Knight was his coach after all. It's a generational divide. Which is strange considering all of older fans experienced Jim Calhoun.
Exactly. I want to see how many of them wrote negative articles on Bob Huggins back in the day.I honestly don’t care about any average Joe saying they like or dislike Hurley. My issue is with the media hypocrisy. Coaches with legal issues don’t get 1/10th of the vitriol thrown at them. But Hurley is the bad guy for yelling at refs? Lol come on now.
Also a geographical divide - northeasterners get Dan Hurley, middle American not so much.It really is. Then you add in the clickbait clowns who get them going
We did not have to deal with all the social media noise, cameras were not every where. Hurley is authentic that is a rare quality in today’s world. It's a generational divide. Which is strange considering all of older fans experienced Jim Calhoun.
In the transfer portal thread someone posted something along the lines that "good thing we have Dan Hurley who can get the most out of his players." You boldfaced that statement and then said "Where do we begin with this?????"Everyone is afforded their opinions.

Weird. Please bad analogy there. There’s an intimidating man and there’s a whiny coach therein lies the difference. Calhoun never made faces like that old man puppet Jeff Dunham carries around.
Again no biggie he is who he is and he’s ours. But you can not like his style and act but still like the coach himself!
I clearly agree with this take as I was writing my post as you were posting this. Authentic and without doubt people who grew up in the NE understand this wearing your emotions on your sleeve. No agendas up their sleeve just emotions on them. Also a geographical divide - northeasterners get Dan Hurley, middle American not so much.
He is everywhere today - I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a HC in CB get so much attention. He truly is the face of the sport, whether you like him or not. Every major sports show is talking about him today. He may not be perfect but he’s authentic and a hell of a coach, and boy does he generate conversation. Amidst all the economic conference uncertainty, this is a good thing.
