Going to become Gonzaga assistant coach after 5 NBA seasons averaged 7.5 per game 1.5 assts. Made almost 17 million. Good for him but even though there are worse examples of compensation for marginal performance I still shake my head.

Sure look at anyone the Mets signed in the last decade. I'd start with Kaz Matsui and Jason Bay.

Kind of amazing he managed to average 7.5 ppg. That doesn't exactly scream gigantic bust. Just an example of how stats can be deceiving sometimes I guess.

What was up with Adam? Were injuries part of his failure to stay in the league or was it just over hype and a great run in college? Didn't follow it too much so curious........

Another fine draft choice by that great NBA owner general manager Michael Jordan!!!!!NOT:(

At 3rd overall, that's a bust.

NBA all-pic team though. Can't wait for the Gonzaga MBB profile pic.

He has 2 NBA championship rings, too.

That's a fun fact of which I had no idea. One more than Ray, Pierce and KG, 3 1st ballot guys.

Ray has two also.

The other choices were Gay or Roy. Roy was great but also more or less retired. Gay should have been the pick, even if he hasn't been an Allstar.

I remember watching that Gonzaga/MSU game where Morrison and Maurice Ager went off for like 40+ pts each. That was an epic battle. Then UConn won the next night :)

Morrison was great in the summer league for the Clippers last year. I'm surprised he didn't get considered by someone.

He's a diabetic and regularly shot up insulin during games. I'm surprised no one here mentioned that...Obviously that's a huge factor why he couldn't compete at the highest level

Thanks, he looks a bit older than he should ........

Have you ever seen the prison comedy flick, "Let's Go To Prison" with Will Arnett? The pic of Morrison in the Lakers jersey looks like the neo-Nazi character Lynard.

Does NOT account for the hair though. Or the grooming.

Tragic story... Kid makes millions playing in the nba and then retires to begin coaching.
Boo hoo.

I hope I can fail like him.

It's funny, back when those two were back and forth for scoring title and national player of the year every expert imaginable said he was hands down a better NBA prospect than Reddick

It seems to me that Reddick worked much harder on his game, and almost more importantly, becoming stronger and more fit to be able to take on the bigger and stronger guards in the NBA. Morrison, on the other hand, obviously did not. I never liked either of them, but give Reddick credit where it's due - he's had a solid NBA career.
