ACC Tournament Bracket Set

I am shocked and flummoxed.

I never in my wildest dreams thought Muffet would fall so low as to lose to a

4-25 team!

Is this the same coach who was just giddily gloating about how “We’re on a roll!”????

We need video highlights, press conferences, sound bites, GIFs and other assorted memes to memorialize this occasion.
 
Man! I tried to watch the ending of the game on my phone and it was blacked out! If I had known this, I would have moseyed on down to the Coliseum and bought a ticket. I would pay most any amount to watch ND lose. :(

What a day for Triad - UNC and ND both getting bumped in the ACC consolation first round games! I don't think either team gets a WNIT bid - don't you have to have at least a 50% record in conference?

Cannot believe how low ND dropped this year. What a swing, beating FlSt on Sunday and laying an egg on Wednesday.

The one exception would be if all 9 teams ahead of them in the ACC standings got NCAA bids, they’d get the WNIT auto bid regardless of record. But Virginia is also under .500 so that ain’t happening. Nor are Syracuse, BC and GT all getting bids.

I just realized why the game was blacked out for me on the ESPN app, the game was on a Fox Regional Sports Network instead of ACCNX.

Believe Arizona received the automatic bid as the highest ranked Pac12 team not taken into the NCAA as Plebe pointed out.

Somehow I do not see Georgia Tech, Syracuse, and Virginia all receiving NCAA bids - maybe one of those teams but not all three.

You may be correct. You don't have to have a .500 conference record to get an at-large bid to the NCAA Tourney, so I'm not sure why the NIT would have a stricter standard. Arkansas was 6-10, but again they might have been the highest finishing team in the SEC that didn't make the Tourney (Georgia and LSU had better conference records by must have declined NIT invite?).

Ha.... it was definitely a pro-PITT crowd... at least in my section. We were all groaning and grimacing at all the missed Pitt layup and bonehead plays toward the end of the game. Exulting and applauding when the buzzer sounded

No.
.500 record overall for an at-large bid.

Auto bid goes to the highest team in the conference standings that doesn't get an NCAA bid, regardless of record.

UNC will get a WNIT bid. Notre Dame won't -- unless there's some waiver I don't know about :cool:

What is up with the Underdogs today in the ACC? Clemson on fire vs. a Mompremier led UM team!

I know Beatrice went down for 11 games but was Miami so bereft of talent that all they could muster 4-7? Isn't that on the coach? I have to look at Katie Meyers record to understand whether she's really good, just average or is now trending down...more to come...
 
Clemson up 10 on Miami at the end of the 1st quarter.

If Clemson wins, that would mean the #13, 14 and 15 seeds would all win in the opening round of games.
 
Im curious.... I know that Lachina (she's quite tall) did the first game.... but did Antonelli do the Pitt-ND game?

Although I wanted to see Mompremier play in person.... it wouldn't break my heart to see Miami lose tonight.

Lots of cheers and applause from where I was sitting :D I expected ND to win....... thought Pitt was gonna give them the victory with all of their mistakes towards the end..... but I was so happy for Pitt and their players.... they were so overjoyed with emotion. I knewt hey only won 1 conference game...but didnt realize that they were 4-25 coming into the game :eek:
 
Halftime: Clemson leads 37-33. Kobi Thornton with 16 points already for the Tigers.
 
I was leaving the game today.... and you know how the Scalpers hang outside and ask if you have extra tickets... anyway... there was a pair of ND fans walking beside me.... and the lady ND fan says no.... she just bought a ticket for today's game...... didnt buy a ticket for thursday cause she wanted to see if they won first. Guess she wont be back for the rest of the week.
