ACC to consider NY for bball tourney

I think the Carolina schools like the tournament right where it is thank you very much. I guess they could stomach the tournament in Atlanta or Tampa. Have to imagine DC is a non starter without Maryland. NYC would just help out the Yankee schools and why would they want to do that?

I don't think Maryland's departure eliminates DC. If you're looking for a compromise between the various pockets of schools in the ACC, then I think DC is still a decent bet. Every school has transplants there along with huge numbers from UVA, Duke, UNC and Virginia Tech. Yet its far enough north that BC, Pitt, Cuse would be very happy with the location.
