BE screwed up, but they almost had no choice.
Was built on a hoops legacy and rode it to its bitter end, while ACC recognized football would be king long term.
BE needed to split to all sports 8-10 years ago and didn't. Poor decision and is the end. But how could it be avoided? Who was going to make that decision to boot PC, SJU, GTown, etc.
