i like it. UConn's record of 9 straight final fours will stand for another 8 years at a minimum.
Hoping it stands for one year!

I hope it's broken next year.Hoping it stands for one year!
They'll probably make a video about it.They had much better shots in 2013, 2014 and 2015, and things were projected for an epic showdown in 2016 but Loyd transferred and Taya left mid season. Going 33-2, while not the ideal end result, was still an amazingly successful season for Notre Dame, and they return all but two contributors and will have 3 top rate freshmen next year in the fold.
Fairfield - it is really hard being the hunted and all three of those teams are the 'hunted' and have been for a number of years. It makes what Uconn has done even more impressive. They all ran into very good teams playing their best basketball, and none of them played their A game in a one and done situation. It happens, it happened to Uconn last night too, but Uconn this year and for most of the last three years has had a wider margin of error than those three teams, so they had a relatively 'easy' win. It wasn't easy, they have the bruises and tired legs today to show that it wasn't easy.
Maybe it should be: There's UCONN and there's nobody else.Like it was said: There's UCONN and there's everybody else.
Agreed. Maybe This closes the dark Jewell Loyd chapter for her and opens the bright new chapter of her exceptional recruiting class.A curious thing is how unperturbed Muffet seemed in the post-game press conference. It often appears that the fans care more deeply than the coaches. She seemed quite willing to accept that "it was not our year".
