Rainey st used to be a good hang with eclectic music and food. I think most relocated due to developers on the other side of the street.

But plenty of cool places still with bbq, music, art…and humanity!

Rainey Street is awesome. So is 6th outside of the dirty stretch. If you can't enjoy Austin, makes me question whether you're fun. I've seen a lot of the US, it's up there in terms of livable cities.

Nashville on the other hand - unless you love bars and country music, way overhyped.
